    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

    Contract | Afternoon Shift | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct post-anesthesia nursing care to patients in a 12-bed PACU setting
    • Monitor and manage patients across all population types during the post-operative recovery phase
    • Administer and titrate drips and vasoactive medications per established protocols
    • Read and interpret telemetry to assess and respond to patient cardiac status
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe patient transitions out of the PACU
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record system
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum of 12 months of PACU / post-anesthesia care experience required; work history must reflect 24 months of current PACU experience
    • Active Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license required at time of submission
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
    • Strong experience reading and measuring telemetry required
    • Drips and titration experience required
    • Active BLS certification (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Pediatric care experience preferred
    • Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
