RN - SSSU/PACU

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | 4x10-hour shifts with variable schedule and shared on-call rotation
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care across the full Outpatient Services area, including Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Pre-operative Clinic
- Float to various outpatient service units based on departmental needs
- Perform peri-operative education and care for patients throughout the surgical continuum
- Recognize and respond to post-anesthesia and post-operative complications
- Support conscious sedation for special procedures as needed by the hospital
- Conduct thorough nursing assessments across Pre-op, PACU, and Phase II settings
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Strong Pre-operative, PACU, and Phase II recovery skills
- Experience with peri-operative nursing assessment and care
- Ability to recognize and manage post-anesthesia and post-operative complications
- Ability to participate in a shared on-call rotation
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in endoscopy or day surgery settings
- Familiarity with conscious sedation procedures
- Comfort with a variable schedule and floating across multiple outpatient service areas
