Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | On-Call Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct post-anesthesia care to patients in the PACU, utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and facility policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Surgical staff, and other healthcare personnel to ensure safe and effective patient care
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of care
  • Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
  • Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
  • Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in New Mexico or compact state eligibility
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of PACU or relevant perioperative experience (orthopedics, ophthalmology, gynecology, or related surgical specialties)
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Local candidates will not be considered for this travel assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working across multiple surgical specialties including orthopedics, ophthalmology, and gynecology
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a fast-paced surgical or post-anesthesia care environment
