    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – PACU

    Location

    Fargo, ND

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (0700–2300, with occasional nights, varied weekend rotation; 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts available; backup call rotation and weekend coverage required)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide post-procedure care for adult and pediatric patients across all surgical specialties, including ICU, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and Interventional Radiology
    • Manage high-acuity patients in an 18-bay and 14-bay Phase I PACU setting within a large trauma center
    • Utilize Epic charting, AcuDose medication dispensing, Philips monitors, ventilators, and BiPAP equipment
    • Maintain ASPAN nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 2:1
    • Participate in backup call rotation, including occasional weeknights and up to every fourth weekend
    • Float between campuses for Phase I PACU coverage as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active North Dakota RN license
    • Minimum 2 years of PACU experience in an acute hospital setting
    • Experience in a large hospital (250+ beds); outpatient surgery center experience alone is not sufficient
    • Ability to care for pediatric patients (average 5–15 pediatric patients per day) and high-acuity patients
    • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications — all must be American Heart Association (AHA)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Critical care or ICU nursing experience
    • Familiarity with Epic electronic health records
