Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op in Indianapolis, IN

Travel RN – PACU (4x10's, Days)

Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment | Day Shift (10:00 AM – 8:30 PM), 4x10-hour shifts | 40 Guaranteed Hours per Week

• Provide post-anesthesia care and recovery monitoring for a diverse surgical patient population including general surgery, urology, ENT, orthopedics, colorectal, vascular, endoscopy, cath lab, and interventional radiology
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 until critical recovery elements are met, then transition to 2:1 as appropriate
• Operate within a 10-bed and 4-bed PACU environment utilizing EPIC EMR
• Respond to on-call needs as required, up to 4 times per 6-week schedule, on varying days to provide staff coverage
• Participate in onboarding education and precepted orientation on the first day of assignment

• Active RN license with current PACU experience
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience; 4–5 years preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred; candidates without PALS may be considered
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR

• Experience with recovery of vascular, cath lab, and endoscopy patients
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced PACU environment
• Eager, team-oriented approach with willingness to assist across unit needs as they arise

• Surgical scrubs are provided on-site, ensuring a comfortable and professional work environment from day one
• Structured onboarding with preceptor support helps set travel nurses up for a smooth and successful assignment
