Registered Nurse – PACU
Location

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Weekends and Holidays Required | On-Call Required (typically 1 night per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays)
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and care for patients in an 8-bay Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) immediately following surgery on a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
Manage patient airways, pain levels, vital signs, and all post-surgical needs until the patient is ready for transport to the next level of care
Collaborate as part of a team-based Surgical Services unit with a focus on patient safety and patient satisfaction
Provide on-call coverage as assigned, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Float to units of like acuity or less as needed
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
Minimum of one year of Main Hospital PACU experience required
Pediatric (Peds) experience in the OR required
Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required and in hand at time of submission
Current Nursys report dated within the past 7 days must be included with submittal
All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of submission; RTO submitted after presentation will not be honored
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical services environment
Demonstrated ability to manage diverse post-surgical patient populations including pediatric patients
