    Registered Nurse – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from general elective, critical, and life-saving surgical procedures
    • Monitor and assess patient status in the PACU setting, identifying and responding to changes in condition
    • Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions and continuity of care
    • Administer medications and interventions as ordered, documenting care accurately in the patient record
    • Educate patients and families on post-operative care instructions and discharge planning
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan
    • Minimum 2 years of PACU experience (required)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification – American Heart Association
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a high-volume or acute care surgical environment
    • Familiarity with a broad range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, cardiac, and general surgery
