Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:30 AM – 8:00 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every Other Weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics in a 16-bed PACU unit at a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage and monitor patients recovering from orthopedic, neurological, cardiothoracic, vascular, general, thoracic, urological, and gynecological surgeries
• Rotate with pre-op as required for this contract assignment
• Float within specialty and, as needed, to a sister facility
• Work assigned holidays as they fall per schedule and fulfill weekend commitments of 2 weekends per schedule cycle
• Maintain readiness for potential on-call requirements should on-call be implemented during the contract period, with a minimum 30-day advance notice per policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact license at time of submission
• BLS certification – AHA only
• ACLS certification – AHA only
• PALS certification – AHA only
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience; first-time travelers considered with 3–5 years of strong PACU experience or a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
• Must maintain a permanent address of 50 or more miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for a broad patient population including pediatric through geriatric age ranges
• Familiarity with high-acuity surgical specialties such as cardiothoracic, vascular, and neurology
• Comfort with floating within scope and adapting to varying unit needs without restrictions
