Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:30 AM – 8:00 PM) | Every Other Weekend
Key Responsibilities
Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations in a 16-bed PACU unit
Manage patients recovering from orthopedic, neurological, cardiothoracic, vascular, general, thoracic, urological, and gynecological surgical procedures
Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio while delivering safe, high-quality post-operative care
Rotate with pre-op as required for this contract assignment
Float within specialty as needed, including to a sister facility when required
Work holidays as they fall per schedule and fulfill weekend requirements of 2 weekends per schedule cycle
Required Qualifications
Active Maryland RN license or valid Compact license at time of submission
Minimum 2 years of PACU experience; first-time travelers accepted with 3–5 years of strong PACU experience or 2 years of ICU experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association only)
NIH Stroke Scale certification required
Must reside 50 or more miles from the facility address (locals under 50 miles not accepted)
Must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with a broad surgical patient population including cardiothoracic and neurology cases
CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the accepted online vendor)
Familiarity with travel nursing compliance processes and onboarding requirements
