Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct post-anesthesia nursing care to patients in Phase I and Phase II PACU settings, maintaining patient ratios of 2:1 (Phase I) and 3:1 (Phase II)
• Monitor and assess patients using GE central monitoring equipment and document care using Meditech EMR
• Administer and manage medications utilizing Pyxis ES Medication Stations
• Support a broad range of surgical specialties including general, urology, GYN, GYN ONC, thoracic, spine, total joints, and robotic surgery cases
• Participate in overnight on-call rotation (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM, approximately once per month) and a 12-hour weekend call shift approximately every six weeks
• Adapt to a dynamic, high-volume surgical environment while maintaining a positive, team-oriented approach to patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of current, hands-on PACU experience in a hospital setting
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a trauma center environment
• Thoracic, neuro, or pediatric nursing experience
• Familiarity with robotic surgery recovery care
