Registered Nurse – PACU

Key Responsibilities- Provide pre-operative, Phase I, and Phase II recovery care to both adult and pediatric patients across a high-volume surgical environment spanning multiple floors and operating rooms
- Support all major surgical services including endoscopy, interventional radiology, pulmonary lab, and CT/MRI procedural cases
- Administer and monitor care for patients receiving regional anesthesia and ECT procedures
- Utilize specialized equipment including Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and AccuVein as needed
- Float to pediatric PACU as needed to support unit staffing demands
- Maintain a 1:2 patient ratio and adhere to all unit protocols and emergency staffing expectations
Required Qualifications- Active RN license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
- Minimum 2 years of experience in PACU specialty
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Ability to care for patients of all ages including pediatric populations in pre-op and all phases of recovery
- Willingness to participate in emergency team assignments as directed by unit management
Preferred Experience / Skills- Background specifically in PACU or Pre/Post Op nursing
- Experience with regional anesthesia monitoring and post-procedure recovery
- Familiarity with high-volume, multi-OR surgical environments serving diverse patient populations
