Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

• Provide pre-operative, Phase I, and Phase II recovery care to both adult and pediatric surgical patients across a high-volume, multi-floor surgical department supporting 34 operating rooms.
• Care for patients undergoing all major surgical services, including endoscopy, interventional radiology, pulmonary lab, and CT/MRI procedural cases.
• Assist with regional anesthesia and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) cases as needed.
• Float to pediatric PACU as needed, providing age-appropriate care across all patient populations.
• Operate specialized equipment including Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and AccuVein device.
• Maintain a 1:2 patient ratio and fulfill 2–3 scheduled weekend shifts per contract period.

• Active RN license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PACU specialty (3 years preferred for this location).
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (AHA-issued certifications required).
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system.
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility address (as indicated on driver's license) — local travelers are not accepted.
• Current NURSYS report required, dated within 4 weeks of submission.

• Background in PACU or Pre/Post-Op nursing; Critical Care Post-Op experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience caring for pediatric surgical populations in a pre-op or recovery setting.
• Familiarity with regional anesthesia protocols and high-acuity post-operative patient management.

• Work within a large, dynamic surgical environment supporting a diverse range of specialties and surgical populations across a multi-OR facility.
• Orientation modules are billable and completed during scheduled orientation hours, ensuring a supported and compensated onboarding experience.
