    Registered Nurse – PACU

    Location

    Newton, MA

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | Rotating Schedule

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural interventions in the PACU setting
    • Monitor and assess patient vital signs, airway status, and level of consciousness during the post-operative recovery phase
    • Manage pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms in accordance with care protocols
    • Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and nursing teams to ensure safe patient transitions out of the PACU
    • Participate in a rotating schedule consisting of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts with varied start times
    • Be available for up to 3 on-call shifts per 6-week scheduling period
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Massachusetts
    • Current PACU or post-anesthesia care experience
    • BLS certification required; ACLS certification required
    • Ability to work a rotating schedule including 8-hour and 12-hour night shifts
    • Availability for on-call shifts as scheduled
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a high-volume or acute care PACU environment
    • Familiarity with varied patient populations including general surgery, orthopedics, or other surgical specialties
