Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op in Newton, MA

Contract | Full-Time | Nights | 36 hours per week | 3x12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural interventions
• Monitor and assess patient vital signs, airway status, and level of consciousness in the immediate post-operative period
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered, including pain management and antiemetic therapy
• Communicate effectively with surgical, anesthesia, and care team members to ensure safe patient transitions
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact state eligibility
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Prior PACU or critical care nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPAN (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) certification preferred
• Experience with a high-volume surgical patient population
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation systems
