Key Responsibilities- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering competent nursing care across a range of simple to complex health conditions
- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician orders
- Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient manifestations, and intervenes when necessary
- Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products
- Interacts with patients and families to share care plans during hospitalization and at time of discharge; makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
- Delegates tasks to support staff and assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
Required Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Preferred Experience / Skills- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program
- Proficiency in organizing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating nursing services
