Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op in Philadelphia, PA

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM–6:30 PM or 8:00 AM–8:30 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative nursing care during the 6:00 AM–6:30 PM shift and post-operative nursing care during the 8:00 AM–8:30 PM shift
• Care for a mixed patient population including adults and pediatric patients in the PACU setting
• Participate in an on-call schedule that includes 2 on-call shifts Monday–Friday, 1 on-call 12-hour shift on weekends per 6-week schedule, and 1 summer and 1 winter holiday on-call shift
• Document patient care using Cerner Aceis SurgiNet electronic health record system
• Float as needed to the GI or pain center when required
• Complete all required compliance activities, including labs within 48 hours of signing and PA fingerprinting within 1 week of contract signing

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid Registered Nurse (RN) state license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Critical Care or PACU
• Level I Trauma experience and ICU background required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates (local rate differential applies for those within 50 miles)
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated; RTO must be submitted at time of candidate submission — RTO requests after submission will not be accepted
• Pass/Fail clinical competency exam required for clearance (candidates have a maximum of 3 attempts)

• Experience in SICU (Surgical ICU)
• Experience in MICU (Medical ICU)
• Experience in CTICU (Cardiothoracic ICU)
