Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op in Philadelphia, PA

Contract | Full-Time | Days (0600–1830) | 3×12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | No call, weekends, or holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Recover patients from general and moderate sedation anesthesia in a high-volume PACU environment (30–50 cases per day)
• Provide pre-operative nursing care at a 3:1 patient ratio
• Provide post-operative recovery nursing care at a 2:1 patient ratio
• Apply ICU-level clinical skills as needed throughout the care continuum
• Monitor and manage patients across varying acuity levels in the post-anesthesia setting

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Proficiency in full ICU skill set

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing patients recovering from both general and moderate sedation anesthesia
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment
• Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills across multiple patient acuity levels
