Registered Nurse (RN) – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Contract | Days | Onsite | Weekend and holiday requirements per department
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural sedation in a PACU setting
- Monitor and assess patient status during the immediate post-operative recovery phase, including vital signs, airway management, and pain control
- Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure safe patient transitions and handoffs
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
- Support Pre-Op department functions as operationally required
- Complete required learning modules and adhere to all facility compliance standards prior to and during assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona, verified within the last 30 days with no disciplinary actions
- Minimum of 24 months of PACU experience, with experience within the last 12 months
- Active BLS certification from AHA, ARC, or ASHI
- Active ACLS certification from AHA, ARC, or ASHI
- PACU skills checklist completed within the last 12 months
- Valid driver's license required to verify non-Arizona residency (Arizona residents are not eligible for this assignment)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
- Flexibility with facilities, shifts, and departments to support expedited placement
