TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, 27804!

Registered Nurse – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)
Location
Rocky Mount, NC
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 10–12 hour shifts (alternating weekly) | 4x10s, 40 hours per week | Shift start 6:45 AM with call requirement
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical procedures
- Monitor and assess patient condition following anesthesia, identifying and responding to changes in patient status
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions and continuity of care
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in on-call responsibilities as required by the unit schedule
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Prior PACU or post-anesthesia care nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a surgical services or perioperative nursing environment
- Demonstrated ability to function competently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced clinical setting
