Job Title

Registered Nurse – PACU

Location

Rocky Mount, NC | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 10–12 hour shifts (alternating weekly) | Expected 40 hours/week | Shift start 0645 with call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver clinically competent nursing care to patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU)
• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, identifying and responding to changes in condition
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions and handoffs
• Maintain compliance with unit protocols, documentation standards, and patient safety requirements
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as required per unit scheduling

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a PACU setting
• Experience in endoscopy (ENDO) nursing
