Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 4x10-hour shifts (alternating with 12-hour shifts weekly) | Start time 0645 | Call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical procedures in a PACU setting
• Monitor and assess patient status following anesthesia, identifying and responding to changes in condition
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered, ensuring patient safety and comfort during recovery
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate timely discharge from the PACU
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in accordance with facility standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Prior PACU or post-anesthesia care nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a surgical services or perioperative nursing environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse patient population with varying levels of acuity
