Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM | No on-call required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct post-anesthesia nursing care within an 18-bay adult PACU setting
Maintain 1:1 patient ratios during the first 30 minutes post-procedure or when patient requires ICU level of care; transition to 2:1 ratio when patient is stable
Adhere to unit requirement that 2 RNs must be present in the PACU at all times when a patient is present
Document patient care accurately using Meditech Magic EMR
Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to support night case coverage as the unit transitions to 24/7 staffing
Demonstrate proactive, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced perioperative environment
Required Qualifications
Active RN license (must meet state requirements for Texas)
Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
Demonstrated ICU level of care competency
ACLS certification required
BLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
CPAN (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) certification
TCAR certification
Experience with Meditech Magic EMR
