Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days/Evenings | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Shift times vary: 6:30–19:00, 9:00–21:00, 10:00–22:00, 11:00–23:30, or 13:00–1:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care for high-acuity patients in Phase I PACU and Phase II Recovery settings
• Care for complex surgical patients including kidney transplant, craniotomy, transaortic valve replacement, spine surgery, VATS, and ICU-level patients
• Manage pre- and post-operative patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Float to other facilities within the health system as needed to meet staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an inpatient PACU setting (Phase I, Phase II, and Pre/Post)
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center and high-acuity PACU environment
• Teaching hospital experience required
• 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submission
• Local candidates are accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU background preferred, particularly SICU, CVICU, or Neuro ICU experience
• CCRN certification
• NIHSS certification
