Contract | Days | Predominantly 3x12-hour shifts; 8- or 10-hour shifts may be considered based on departmental needs | Start times vary; staff must be flexible and available until daily cases are completed

• Provide Phase 1 and Phase 2 post-anesthesia recovery care across inpatient PACU, outpatient PACU, a surgery center, and an anesthesia clinic
• Recover a broad range of surgical patients including general, neuro, thoracic, interventional (cath lab and radiology), and simple procedure cases; ICU patients (excluding open-heart) are also recovered in the PACU
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips; support ventilator management in coordination with Respiratory Therapy
• Float between inpatient and outpatient PACU sides, the surgery center, and the anesthesia clinic as needed
• Participate in a weekly call rotation including 2 overnight call shifts per month (11pm–7am), 1 twenty-four-hour weekend call shift per month (7am–7am), and holiday call coverage on a rotating basis with permanent staff
• Utilize the Sunrise EMR system and Pyxis for medication management

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license; any licensing history must be disclosed at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required for inpatient PACU, outpatient PACU, and surgery center assignments
• BLS certification required for anesthesia clinic assignments
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Minimum 2–3 shifts of unit-specific orientation required prior to independent practice
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility

• Prior experience in a PACU, surgical recovery, or perioperative setting with exposure to both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery
• Familiarity with the Sunrise EMR system
• Experience recovering a diverse surgical caseload including neuro, thoracic, and interventional procedures

• Work across multiple dynamic recovery environments with a collaborative team that includes dedicated charge nurses, unit aides, 24/7 respiratory therapy, and 24/7 in-house pharmacy support
• Gain broad clinical exposure recovering a wide variety of surgical cases in a well-supported perioperative setting
