Job Title: RN - Postpartum Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Partum/Mom Baby Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 Year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, NRP Advanced Provider Certification Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: Position available for a contract RN specializing in Postpartum care. The role involves working in a 97-bed postpartum unit with a Level IV maternal and Level III NICU. The unit has an annual birth volume of approximately 12,000, with around 1,000 births each month. There is a couplet ratio of 1:4 with no on-call requirements. Patients may require various procedures such as non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, and insulin or magnesium administration. The unit operates EMR systems including Meditech and CPN. The staff consists of 1 charge nurse, 4 registered nurses, and 1 clerk during the day. Night shifts do not have patient care technicians. Patient ratios may vary from 2:1 to 4:1 depending on acuity. Candidates should possess strong teamwork and communication skills. Navy blue scrubs are required for the dress code. Permanent positions are available on the unit.
