Job Summary Pre-Operative (Pre Op) Registered Nurse position in Wichita, Kansas. This role involves providing care to patients in a busy preoperative setting, supporting procedures such as urology, gynecology, outpatient infusions, and diagnostic tests. The position offers an opportunity to work with a skilled team utilizing state-of-the-art equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
Position Description: Travel RN - Pre-Operative (709) at a medical center.
Shift Time: Days (7:00 AM 7:00 PM)
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; minimum 1-year current acute care Pre-Operative RN hospital experience; BLS and ACLS certifications; location in Wichita, Kansas; 1 year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Some preoperative experience or the ability to assist preoperative staff; prior Meditech electronic health record experience.
Responsibilities: Provide preoperative patient care, assist with procedures including surgery, endoscopy, catheterizations, cardiac procedures, outpatient infusions, EKGs, blocks, and blood transfusions; ensure patient safety and comfort; communicate with staff and providers.
Additional Information: Candidates must have at least one year of recent acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience. The unit operates with a team of experienced registered nurses and supports patient-centered care. On-call requirements include two 10-hour weekend shifts every 89 weekends with a 30-minute response time.
