Job Summary

Join our dedicated nursing team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Critical Care (CCU/PCU) at our facility in Lancaster, Ohio. This role involves providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to critically ill and progressively stable patients, utilizing the full scope of the nursing process.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating exceptional clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to manage complex patient cases. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care, while also directing and delegating tasks to co-workers in accordance with established policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process.
  • Provide quality care based on patient assessment needs and established plans of care/pathways.
  • Provide education for patients and their families/significant others from admission through discharge.
  • Maintain thorough, concise, accurate, and legible documentation of the nursing process.
  • Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status.
  • Administer medications and perform treatments in an accurate and safe manner.
  • Implement physician orders as written.
  • Assure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to the proper department.
  • Accept responsibility for the direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care.
Required Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program, resulting in one of the following:
    • Diploma in Nursing
