Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Cardiovascular experience Description: Responsible for the management of high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) and Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure (BIPAP). Experience in stable glyceryl trinitrate (GTN) management is required. Care for patients post-operatively following CABG, AVR, and MVR procedures. Experience with various cardiovascular and vascular conditions. Skilled in caring for patients post-abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair, lobectomy, carotid endarterectomy (CEA), non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI), ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), acute coronary syndrome (ACS), and sepsis. Ability to manage gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB) and post-diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) cases. Experience in handling respiratory failure and patients with tracheostomies. Work in a 30-bed stepdown unit that floats between critical care service lines.
