Description:
A leading hospital is seeking Registered Nurses for a Progressive Care Unit.
The primary patient population includes cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients.
Procedures include open heart surgeries, thoracic lung surgeries, and various vascular surgeries.
Patients may also include overflow medical cardiology cases.
The unit contains 40 cardiac surgery stepdown beds.
Team collaboration is essential among approximately 100 staff members.
The staffing ratio is 1:5 patients per RN and 1:13 for patient care technicians.
Necessary equipment includes IV pumps, epidural pumps, and various lifts.
Experience with cardiac management is essential.
Candidates should enjoy a fast-paced environment and be flexible.
Weekend shifts are required, with a minimum of six weekend shifts every six weeks.
No on-call duty is required.
