Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,603 per week in Irving, TX

Job Title: Travel RN PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Nurse in Progressive Care License: Active RN license Certifications: Telemetry interpretation experience Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Telemetry interpretation. Progressive Care level of care or higher. Description: Position requires a minimum of 2 years working as a Registered Nurse in Progressive Care with an active license. Unit size includes 11 beds. The team consists of 20 staff members. Staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 3 registered nurses with a technician during the day shift when at full capacity. Night shift also has 1 charge nurse and 3 registered nurses with a technician when fully staffed. Patient ratios are typically 4:1 but can reach 5:1 if there is a technician present. Each room is equipped with bedside vital signs machines. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. There is no on-call requirement for this position. Floating may occur to medical-surgical units. Candidates with experience in critical cardiac drips and post sheath removal hematoma management are preferred. Typical procedures performed include paracentesis and thoracentesis. Ideal candidates are team players, communicative, possess a good attitude, and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
