# Job Opportunity – Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit RN – Texas**Start Date:** September 22, 2026 **Location:** San Antonio, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day or night shift available; 12-hour shifts with either 1:4 or 1:5 patient ratios; includes weekend rotation**Highlights:** - 29-bed private room cardiac telemetry/progressive care unit specializing in cardiac patient population- Meditech EMR system with telemetry monitoring and continuous pulse oximetry- Typical procedures include blood transfusions, IV starts, midline/central line removals, and management of high fall risk patients- Collaborative unit team including RNs, CNs, PCTs, unit coordinators, respiratory therapists, case managers, and rehabilitation staff- Float pool includes medical-surgical, telemetry, progressive care, and emergency department hold areas- Navy blue scrubs required**Requirements:** - Active Texas RN license or multistate compact license- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required- Telemetry nursing experience required- NIH Stroke certification preferred- PALS, ICU, telemetry, or progressive care unit experience preferred**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers the chance to work in a specialized cardiac care environment where you'll manage complex telemetry patients while collaborating with an engaged, multidisciplinary team.
