Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,726 per week in Aurora, CO

Job Title: Travel RN - PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care PCU experience License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH preferred Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of current acute care PCU experience - Current BLS and ACLS certifications - NIH certification Description: This position is for a travel Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit. The unit spans a range of 345 beds and has received three Magnet designations. There is a strong support team with a float pool of approximately 80 staff. Patient ratios are 1:5 for both day and night shifts, varying between units. Experience with various equipment and EMR systems, specifically Meditech, is essential. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to float between units. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a compassionate approach to patient care. This role offers a great opportunity to learn how to care for patients with diverse medical conditions. Knowledge of chemotherapy certification is a plus, as it may allow scheduling in oncology units. Working guidelines and policies vary slightly between units, but collaboration is emphasized.
