Description:
This is a travel RN position in a fast-paced cardiac unit.
The unit is a high-acuity progressive/intermediate care environment.
Candidates should have experience with patient ratios of 1:4, often up to 1:5.
The unit accommodates 30 beds and is staffed by 65 personnel, including RNs and patient care technicians.
Common equipment includes telemetry monitors, suction devices, feeding pumps, and IV pumps.
Typical procedures performed include post-cath care, thoracic surgery care, and pre/post care of open-heart surgical patients.
Additional skills that are preferred include chest tube management and drip management for various medications.
The ideal candidate will be a great team player, high energy, and flexible.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
This assignment offers exposure to advanced technology and a supportive team environment.
