Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,731 per week in Hazard, KY

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years in specialty required License: KY or compact license required Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Experience in accessing/managing ports, managing cardiac drips, telemetry, and IV insulin protocols - Ability to care for various patient conditions including CVA, renal failure, and seizure disorders Description: This position is for a 13-week contract. Only local candidates will be considered and must reside within 75 miles of the facility. Floating within scope of practice is required. Every other weekend availability is necessary. Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated. Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted, although medical and religious exemptions are considered on a case-by-case basis. Travelers may only submit to one position at a time. Experience with patient ratio of 5 is expected during day, night, and weekend shifts. Weekly staffing will follow a scheduling pattern of 36/48 hours in a two-week pay period. Interdisciplinary support includes various services such as respiratory and phlebotomy. Patient care involves adults and geriatrics. Candidates must comply with vaccination requirements. References are required with one from a charge nurse or higher and one from a supervisor. Copy of certifications must be submitted. Background check policies must be followed.
