Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,738 per week in Hazard, KY

Job Title: Step Down Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of experience in specialty required License: KY or compact license required Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Float required within scope of practice - Every other weekend required - Flu vaccine required (declinations not accepted) - Medical and religious exemptions approved on a case-by-case basis Description: This position is for a 13-week contract. Extension will not be approved. Only local candidates will be accepted and must reside within 75 miles of the facility. Ratios can fluctuate with census, call-ins, etc. Orientation occurs bi-weekly. A driver's license is required in all submission packets, and the address on the driver's license should match the provided documents. Submission of a candidate to more than one job at a time is not permitted. Call is not required. Weekend coverage will be part of the schedule. The unit will support an interdisciplinary team. Patients will primarily include adults and geriatrics. Nursing care will address a variety of patient diagnoses. Staffing and scheduling is set to provide a maximum of 36 hours for one week and 48 hours for another week in a two-week pay period. Travelers may submit after any license hits or background check issues are disclosed. RTO approval up to 7 days is allowed but must be presented upfront. Travelers must work either a major or minor holiday. Travel pairs will only be accepted in limited scenarios. References will be required from one charge nurse or higher and one supervisor. Both references must be completed within the last year. Copy of required certifications must be submitted. After working one year, travelers must take a minimum 6-month break prior to being eligible to return.
