Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,738 per week in Salt Lake City, UT

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Telemetry interpretation Management of cardiac, neuro, and Progressive Care Unit patients Time management in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Description: The unit has 34 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. Charge nurse without assignment when census allows. Patient Care Technicians are available on each shift. Dedicated telemetry monitoring support is provided. Equipment includes continuous cardiac monitoring, high-flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, PCA pumps, and Alaris IV infusion pumps. The documentation system used is EPIC. Scheduling requires 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week period and participation in holiday rotation. Floating within competency is expected. Patient experience requirements include bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and adherence to patient-centered care standards. The unit holds certifications as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, and Level II Trauma Center. Advanced skills required include management of vasoactive drips, chest tubes, high-flow oxygen therapy, Bipap, Cpap, and care for post-cardiac procedure patients. Participation in rapid response is also a responsibility. Procedures performed on the unit include TEE and cardioversions. Dress code consists of Caribbean Blue scrubs.
