Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Acute Leukemia & Hematology (Travel Opportunity)

Pay: $2000/week
Shift: Nights | 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled PCU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a specialized Acute Leukemia & Hematology unit. This role focuses on caring for patients with newly diagnosed leukemia, requiring strong clinical judgment, infection control awareness, and telemetry skills.
✅ Required QualificationsActive RN License (OH or Compact)
BLS & ACLS Certifications – Required
Minimum 2+ years of RN experience
Strong background in MS/Tele or PCU settings
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring & dysrhythmia interpretation
Experience with IV therapy, central lines, and blood product administration
Familiarity with EPIC EMR
NIHSS Certification
ONS Chemo Certification (Not required but a plus)
Provide care to adult and geriatric patients with acute leukemia and hematologic conditions
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data
Administer IV therapies, blood products, and medications
Perform central line care, PICC line management, and phlebotomy
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
Respond to rapid response and emergency situations
Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention and patient safety protocols
Document all care accurately in EPIC EMR
3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Weekend rotation required
Self-scheduling requests accepted (no guaranteed block scheduling)
Option for rotating Day/Night shifts based on unit needs
Orientation:
Week 1: Day shift (Mon–Fri)
Week 2: 36 hours on-unit with preceptor
Unit: 15E James – Acute Leukemia & Hematology
Patient Ratio: 1:4 (can flex to 1:5)
Focus on infection prevention & fall prevention
High-acuity, specialized oncology care setting
