Job Title: Cardiac Step-Down RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Stepdown Cardiac Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required License: SC or Multi State/Compact RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Description: This position is for a cardiac step-down registered nurse. The nurse will work three 12-hour shifts during the day, from 7 AM to 7 PM. Holidays may be required as needed. The nurse will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1:5. Rotating weekends are part of the schedule. The candidate may need to float to other units within the facility based on needs. Telemetry and IV Start skills are required for this role. First-time travelers are accepted, but travel experience is preferred. Open to accommodating block schedule requests, subject to manager approval based on unit needs. The facility is primarily an acute care hospital with a capacity of 304 beds. This unit cares for adult patients requiring continuous monitoring. Candidates must be aware that during hurricane season, all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams.
