Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,815 per week in Columbia, SC

Job Title: Cardiac Step-Down Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Stepdown Cardiac Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: 2 years of experience required License: SC or Multi State/Compact RN license is required. Pending licenses will not be accepted. Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Telemetry, IV Start skills required Description: Position involves care for adult patients in a telemetry monitored unit. The nurse will work three 12-hour shifts, primarily during the day. Holidays may be required as needed. Patient ratios are expected to be 1:5. Rotating weekends are required. Travelers may need to float between affiliated campuses based on census and staffing needs. First-time travelers are accepted, but preference is given to those with previous travel experience. All requests for time off must be provided at the time of submission. Facility allows for one shift to be called off every two weeks. The unit provides interdisciplinary support services such as physical therapy and pharmacy. Daily patient census averages around 11. Nurses must be able to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Starting and maintaining IVs is essential for this role. Travelers should be aware that they may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November.
