Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,820 per week in Hermitage, TN

Patient ratios are 1:4 to 1:5 during the day and 1:5 to 1:6 at night. Unit has a total of 59 beds with dedicated support staff including techs. Utilizes various equipment including bipaps, high flow oxygen, and cardiac drips. Documents patient care using the Meditech documentation system. Weekly scheduling requires commitment to every other weekend. May be required to float between similar units or to medical-surgical floors. Hourly rounding is expected on days and every two hours on nights. Follows the AIDET communication framework and maintains communication boards. Preferred experience includes tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tubes. Additional procedures performed on the unit include thoracentesis and chest tube insertions. Unit fosters a supportive culture with a focus on teamwork and patient-centered care. Self-scheduling is available, promoting work-life balance for staff. Most travelers extend their assignments after the initial term.
