Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,848 per week in Hermitage, TN

# Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Tennessee**Start Date:** October 19, 2026 **Location:** Hermitage, Tennessee **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Three 12-hour shifts per week; every other weekend required; self-scheduling with 4-week schedule blocks; may float between PCU units or to medical-surgical floors**Highlights:** - Work in a 34-bed or 25-bed progressive care unit with 1:4 to 1:5 patient ratios on days and 1:5 to 1:6 on nights- Hands-on experience with advanced equipment including BiPAPs, high flow oxygen, Vapotherm, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, and peritoneal dialysis- Participate in specialized procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, and central line dressing changes- Documentation completed using Meditech EMR system- Tech support available with 2-3 patient care technicians per unit when at full capacity- Most travelers extend their contracts after initial assignment due to positive unit culture and team environment**Requirements:** - Current RN license in Tennessee or compact state licensure- BLS and ACLS certifications required- Critical thinking skills with strong EKG rhythm interpretation abilities- Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips- Peripheral IV skills required- Experience with BiPAPs, high flow oxygen delivery systems, stroke care, and post-cardiac catheterization care- Familiarity with tube feedings and NG/Dobhoff tubes- Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This progressive care unit offers a "care like family" culture with exceptional teamwork and collaborative support.
