Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,858 per week in Florence, SC

Job Title: Stepdown RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: South Carolina license or Compact license in hand prior to start Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: NIHSS preferred Description: This position is for a Stepdown RN. The schedule includes three 12-hour night shifts with a holiday rotation. The patient ratio is 1:4. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. The RN will float within the scope to meet facility needs, similar to current staff. First-time travelers are not accepted. All requested time off must be included at the time of submission. The facility allows for one shift to be called off every two weeks. During hurricane season, all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams. Travelers should be aware of the responsibilities related to hurricane season. Clinical skills required include management of ventilated patients, cardiac telemetry, and phlebotomy. The RN will manage IVs, administer blood products, and care for patients post-surgery. There will be responsibilities related to telemetry, including remote monitoring. The facility prioritizes candidates with experience in the stepdown unit. Candidates must be comfortable working with adults and geriatric patients. Experience with Epic charting is preferred but not required. All lab requirements should be completed on time for compliance prior to the start date.
