Ability to read telemetry strips. Description: Responsible for providing patient care in a step down or immediate care unit. Night shifts are 3x12 hours, from 7 PM to 7 AM, including weekdays and some weekends. Patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:4, with flexibility to 1:5 in emergencies. Requires strong skills in IV starts and telemetry monitoring. Perform various nursing tasks, including management of intravenous drips and telemetry. Engage in patient care that includes cardiac surgery or interventional cardiology procedures. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services. Conduct assessments and manage care for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for monitoring and documenting patient progress while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
