Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,859 per week in Denver, CO

Job Title: Travel RN - PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year current hospital PCU experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Candidates must have a minimum of 1-year current hospital PCU experience. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: This position is for a travel RN in a Progressive Care Unit. The unit has 24 beds and a diverse range of patient populations. The typical staffing includes a day shift charge nurse, 4-5 RNs, and 2-3 Patient Care Technicians. Night shifts also include a charge nurse, 4-5 RNs, and 2 Patient Care Technicians. Patient ratios are 5:1. The equipment used includes tele monitoring and post-operative monitoring systems. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech and CPN. The unit focuses on post-operative recovery for surgical patients, including orthopedic and catheterization lab patients. Candidates with cardiac experience and prior Meditech experience will be given preference. The ideal personality fit for this unit is someone who is friendly, outgoing, and teamwork-oriented. The environment fosters excellent teamwork and collaboration among staff. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including ADA/Bari rooms and Hoyer lifts. A modified self-scheduling process is in place, allowing for schedule flexibility. Schedules are posted three weeks in advance, allowing ample time for finding trades for any scheduling conflicts.
