Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,882 per week in Hermitage, TN

# Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Tennessee**Start Date:** September 3, 2026 **Location:** Hermitage, Tennessee **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Three 12-hour shifts per week; every other weekend requirement; self-scheduling with 4-week schedule blocks; may float between PCU units or to medical-surgical floors**Highlights:** - Work in a progressive care environment with 34-bed and 25-bed units featuring 1:4 to 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratios on days and 1:5 to 1:6 on nights- Manage diverse patient populations requiring cardiac drips, insulin drips, heparin drips, BiPAPs, high flow oxygen, Vapotherm, and peritoneal dialysis- Utilize Meditech documentation system with modern equipment including Alaris pumps and wound vacs in collaboration with wound care specialists- Tech support available with 3 techs when fully staffed on primary unit and 2 techs on secondary unit- Self-scheduling system with strong team culture and high contract extension rate among travelers- Participate in specialized procedures including peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, and central line dressing changes**Requirements:** - Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state eligibility- BLS and ACLS certifications required- Critical thinking skills with strong EKG rhythm interpretation ability- Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips- Peripheral IV insertion skills- Experience with BiPAPs, high flow oxygen systems, and multiple oxygen delivery methods- Stroke care and post-cardiac catheterization care experience- Tube feeding and NG/Dobhoff tube management experience- Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This progressive care unit offers an exceptional work environment with a "care like family" culture and outstanding teamwork.
