Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,931 per week in Beaufort, SC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of Med Surg and Step Down/PCU experience required License: Must be licensed in South Carolina Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Must be comfortable floating between Step Down, Med Surg, and Telemetry units. - Must not live within 50 miles of the facility. - Must have a clean background check with no hits. Description: This role is a Med Surg position that frequently floats to Step Down and Med Surg/Telemetry units. The nurse must be comfortable with both Med Surg and Step Down responsibilities. Patient-to-nurse ratios are as follows: Step Down 1:4-5, Med Surg 1:5-6. The candidate must confirm they are okay with floating frequently. Daily census on the unit is 22. Expected patient diagnoses include various surgeries, wounds, sepsis, pneumonia, diabetes, COPD, chest pain, AKI, dialysis, liver failure, oncology, and end-of-life care. The position requires skills such as accessing and managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care, and management, among others. Special equipment utilized includes Bipap and telepacks. Candidates are expected to work weekends and holidays in rotation. Experience with the specified charting system is preferred. The role may involve high patient care ratios and requires the ability to float between units as necessary. Candidates must be dedicated to providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.
