Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,931 per week in Beaufort, SC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of medical-surgical experience required, with step-down/PCU experience preferred License: Must have a valid state license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Comfortable floating frequently between units - Must not live within 50 miles of the facility - Must have experience managing patients with various medical conditions Description: This role involves providing nursing care in a medical-surgical environment. The nurse will frequently float to step-down and medical-surgical units. Candidates must be comfortable with this level of flexibility in their assignments. Patient ratios are Step Down 1:4-5 and Medical-Surgical 1:5-6. The nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses. Patients may include those with surgery recovery, sepsis, pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, and oncology needs. Some nursing responsibilities include blood product administration, IV management, and telemetry monitoring. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, physical therapy, and social services. The position requires effective communication skills and a collaborative work approach. Nurses may also participate in patient education and end-of-life care discussions. This role expects participation in weekend and holiday rotations as needed. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work environment and maintain adaptable nursing practices. Floating between units will be required based on patient needs and staffing demands.
