Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,935 per week in Beaufort, SC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Med Surg with step down/PCU experience required. License: Valid state license required. Certifications: BCLS, NIHSS, ACLS Must-Have: - Must be comfortable floating to other units as needed. - Must have experience with patient ratios of 1:4-5 in step down and 1:5-6 in Med Surg. - Must be willing to work holidays and weekends in rotation. - Must comply with floating policies and have the appropriate orientation to new units. Description: This is a Med Surg role that frequently floats to PCU/Step Down and other medical/surgical units. Travelers must have step down/PCU experience as well as Med Surg experience. The facility will not accept any license or background hits. Travelers without pediatric experience will not see pediatric patients. Daily census is approximately 23 patients. The unit has 29 beds and provides care for a variety of diagnoses such as stroke, hyperglycemia, renal failure, and respiratory issues. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Special equipment used on the unit includes telemetry carts and various respiratory devices. The facility expects flexibility with floating across medical/surgical and step down units. Candidates must have skills in areas such as IV management, telemetry, and cardiac care. All travelers should be ready to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
