Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.
Must-Have: Experience with high patient ratios and floating among various units.
Description:
Must have ICU experience.
Traveler will be floated to ICU.
Floating is required across stepdown, ICU, and med-surg units.
Patient ratio is 1:4-5.
Preferred experience with travel assignments.
Scrubs should be royal blue and white.
Every Wednesday, orientation is required for new staff.
Unit has 21 beds.
Non-titrating drips are utilized.
Common medications include Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, Lopressor, and Cardene.
Perform vascular procedures such as fem-pop and CEA.
Other duties include managing NSTEMI and post-cardiac catheterization interventions.
Experience with CIWA assessments and administering IVP Ativan is necessary.
Peritoneal dialysis management experience is required.
Candidates should be familiar with stable BiPAP and heated high flow oxygen therapy.
Experience with home ventilators, wound care, and nebulizer treatments is preferred.
Daily patient census is approximately 17.
The unit supports various interdisciplinary services including physical therapy and respiratory services.
Patient diagnoses typically include CHF, COPD, respiratory failure, pneumonia, and acute kidney injury.
Special equipment includes BiPAP units and telemetry monitors.
Rotations include weekend coverage and potential holiday shifts.
Candidates must be comfortable with floating within the hospital.
Compliance with the facility’s floating policies is required.
Be prepared to work collaboratively with a team and provide high-quality patient care.
