- Chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and peritoneal dialysis experience are preferred
- Required to pass an EKG competency exam as part of compliance prior to arrival
Description:
This position requires a registered nurse specializing in stroke care.
The unit consists of 12 beds with a focus on acute care.
Patient types include CVA/TIA needing TPA administration, spinal surgical cases, and stepdown overflow patients.
The nurse-patient ratio is 1:3, with support staff available.
Phlebotomy and other support teams are in house during designated hours.
Telemetry monitoring is available in each patient room, connected to a central station.
Charting is completed using an electronic medical record system.
Travelers must be able to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Time-off requests are limited, with specific guidelines for approval.
Scrub colors are specified, and items worn must adhere to uniform standards.
